About Us

Our mission at Sugar Creek Club Lambs

is to raise the most competitive market wethers and ewes, while building the youth’s interest for breeding and showing lambs as well as teaching our kids about the highs and lows of livestock and life.

Chris, Jessica,  Brody, Brogan & Braylon Paxson

Chris grew up rooted in the sheep industry on the family farm near Harrod, Ohio.  He and all of the siblings raised true to breed Hampshire Sheep. They all had lots of success showing lambs and breeding stock all over the Midwest in the 80’s and 90’s. After high school, Chris went to Dive School in Seattle, Washington, and spent a couple years offshore doing underwater welding and construction. Eventually returning home and marrying Jessica. They then started a family and purchased a late 1800s farm just 1 mile from where he grew up. Fast forward a few years and they have kids starting 4-H and then, as the story goes, the more things change the more they stay the same. Chris invested significantly into a flock of ewes and rams that are club style and much more competitive in the market shows and jackpots.

Cory, Sara & Jacob Pinks

Cory grew up working in the family construction business and eventually split off and starting his own contracting company. He grew up intrigued with farming and raising livestock, like any boy. When Jacob became interested in 4-H and started showing livestock, Cory and family wanted more than just showing. Being as competitive as he is, Cory & Chris Started aggressively researching lamb breeding and trends and then joined forces to start investing in top of the line club style genetics. Cory’s strong work ethic and eye for detail are rare assets.

Chloe Hiedlebaugh

Chloe Heidlebaugh - Flock Manager

We would like to introduce Chloe Heidlebaugh to the SugarCreek Club Lambs team!

Chloe is from Findlay, Ohio where growing up she & her twin sister were (and still are) heavily involved in the day-to-day activities of their family’s commercial grain operation. Chloe is Currently a Junior at The Ohio State University pursuing a bachelors degree in Animal Science with a minor in Agronomy. She received her associates degree of Animal Sciences from The OSU-ATI, and she has also been very active on the Livestock Judging teams at both colleges. Chloe has an educational focus on small-ruminant reproductive technologies and hopes to continue her professional experience within those procedures throughout this coming breeding season. When not in class, Chloe runs her own club lamb operation, CBH Livestock, where she manages a growing flock of high-caliber ewes and several recips. Which is now housed in the SugarCreek Facilities

Chloe was a 5 Year member of FFA where she was an Ohio Proficiency Finalist in fiber and crop production and received both her State and American FFA degrees.
In 2023-2024, she also served as The Ohio Lamb and Wool ambassador and traveled around the state representing Ohio’s sheep industry.
This past summer, Chloe also completed an Internship with Hild Brothers Show Stock in Iowa.

We are looking forward to an amazing year and are very excited to have Chloe in our corner! There are not very many young people out there that are as driven, passionate, or hard-working as her and when you factor in her grace and smile that it was a no brainer to bring her on.

Welcome to the team!
